What does community mean to you? New York is known for diverse communities and subcultures whose ideas make lasting impacts on the city. Explore the exhibitions New York at Its Core and Activist New York to find New Yorkers who worked together to improve their communities. Then make your mark on our collective indoor mural painting!

Family programs are free with Museum admission and for members, geared to families with children ages 6-12 years old, and include a snack. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.
