Throughout history New Yorkers have used machines to help them in their daily lives, from apple corers to a stock tickers. Explore images from our exhibition New York at Its Core to see these iconic objects from New York City’s history, then use our materials to design a machine of your own!

This free Family Program takes place in Cherry Tree Playground (99th St. to 100th St., 3rd Avenue) and is geared to families with children ages 6-12 years old. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.
