Voting, Race, and the Battle for Full Women's Suffrage

This year marks the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted white women the right to vote. For women of color, the campaign to win suffrage continued as they fought to ensure their access to the ballot and organized for grassroots power.

In anticipation of Election Day 2020, join fellow educators for this online workshop exploring the complex history and legacy of American women's centuries-long fight to win the vote. Examine primary source documents, consider the tactics activists have used to advocate for suffrage, and learn best practices for engaging students in your virtual classroom. 

This workshop is geared towards educators but is open to all with interest in the topic.
