Making the Queer Scene

Whether at pioneering lesbian bars like the Clit Club, East Village drag and performance spaces in the 1980s and '90s, or today's Brooklyn-based dance parties celebrating queer and trans people of color, bars and clubs have long been places where LGBTQ people have come together to socialize, celebrate community, and push back against social prejudice. Join a group of writers, performers, and activists to discuss the historical and ongoing importance of queer nightlife in New York.
