NYC Discovery Lab – Native New York
Join us this month at the NYC Discovery Lab as we celebrate the rich culture and traditions of the Lenape, the First People of the New York City region every weekend in November with drop-in activities for children ages 5-12 and their grownups!
Dates: Every Saturday and Sunday in November
Time: Drop-in anytime between 11am-4pm
- Grab a Discovery Kit and become a historian! Explore our exhibition Port City and uncover what a wood and shell club can teach us about the Lenape.
- Unveil the Lenape origins of familiar NYC neighborhoods and place names in a map-based activity
- Craft and create your very own corn husk doll to take home
- Challenge your native knowledge with our NYC-themed trivia game: Native or Non-Native
