Coding and Building, Robots and Games for Change
For kids who dare to design, code, and build robots and games to make a change!
Campers will become game creators and social innovators who drive real-world impact through games and robotics. We’ll explore civic issues such as sustainability, equity, cybersecurity, news biases, and more. Campers will learn about game mechanics, game design, prototyping and play-testing, and design games to make a difference. Design a game to encourage responsible recycling, a game to bring awareness about biases, a game to help express emotions, or a game to connect us with one another! They’ll also learn the fundamentals of robots, think like an inventor, and design robots that do good for our city. Every morning, they’ll visit various exhibitions in the Museum of the City of New York including Activist New York, Raise Your Voice, New York at its Core, and This is New York to learn more about movements that have changed and shaped our city for the better, become aware of important causes, and use the power of games and robots to envision a better future.
