MCNY x The Giant Room — April 10th
This event has passed.
This Spring Break Week, the Museum of the City of New York partners with The Giant Room to bring amazing, drop-in STEAM activity stations to our Ground Floor classroom spaces on Monday April 10, Tuesday April 11, and Wednesday April 12 from 11:00am – 2:00pm each day!
Geared towards families with children ages 5 – 12 years old, included with Museum admission. Pre-registration is recommended!
Inspired by our hit exhibition, Food In New York: Bigger Than the Plate, we invite younger visitors and their families to think, experiment and design for a more equitable, socially diverse, and, not least, delicious future of food in New York City!
Each day there will be three activity stations inspired by Food In New York: Bigger Than the Plate
Activity Stations:
-
NYC Food Maps: Make your own "Food Map" of the city and share your favorite spots!
-
Food Trucks & Street Food: Design your own food trucks out of GIANT laser cut models, decide what to serve on their trucks and play!
-
DIY Urban Gardens: Design your own mini urban gardens out of laser cut wood panels and learn about urban farming!
These drop-in activities are free with Museum admission and presented in partnership with The Giant Room.
