When: Monday, August 6, 2018, 11:00am

This event has passed.

New York is a city surrounded by water. Join us to learn about the different bodies of water that make up and contribute to our city, from the Hudson River to the Croton Aqueduct. Explore the exhibition New York at Its Core to get inspired by images of these water sources, then choose a scene to create a watercolor landscape painting.

Family programs are free with Museum admission and for Members, and geared toward families with children ages 6–12 years old. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.

Family and Community Engagement Programs are made possible in part by the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation; Sy Syms Foundation; Lone Pine Foundation; and Louis Wiley, Jr.

The Frederick A.O. Schwarz Education Center is endowed by grants from The Thompson Family Foundation Fund, the F.A.O. Schwarz Family Foundation, the William Randolph Hearst Endowment, and other generous donors.
