Soul of the City: Mother's Day Brunch Concert with Amira B

Join us for a soulful Mother’s Day celebration featuring a live brunch concert by R&B and Soul artist Amira B. Enjoy a delicious brunch from Harlem’s iconic Charles Pan-Fried Chicken while soaking in an afternoon of fantastic music at the museum! Doors open at 12:45 p.m., and the concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. Check out the menu!

About the Performer:
A 2024 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Finalist, and Semi-Finalist in Apollo’s Amateur Night, Amira B is a rising Jazz and R&B artist from New York City, known for her soulful vocals and dynamic performances. Born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Russia during her early years, Amira's musical journey began at a young age. Her exposure to classical piano in Russia laid the foundation for her musical talents, which blossomed into a passion for a wide range of genres as diverse as her upbringing. A graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, and SUNY Purchase College's Conservatory of Music, where she earned her Master's degree in Studio Composition, Amira B's dedication to her craft is evident in her academic achievements and her prolific music career.
Amira has released numerous singles and EPs, including her single 'Do You,' which received positive reviews from critics like EARMILK, Picky Magazine, The Word is Bond, and more. Her music has been featured on Spotify Editorial Playlists, charted on Hype Machine, and earned airplay on WFUV FM Radio. Amira has performed at prestigious venues across the country and internationally, including the Outreach Music Festival in Austria. In 2024, she won Goddard Riverside’s “Upper West Side’s Got Talent Show” and was selected as their artist in residence.
