Join us for a special screening of Wild Style (Charlie Ahearn, 1983, 82 mins), widely regarded as the first hip-hop film, capturing the early days of graffiti, breakdancing, DJing, and MCing in New York City’s vibrant underground scene. The film features memorable performances and appearances by pioneers including Grandmaster Flash, Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quiñones, Lady Pink, the Rock Steady Crew, and The Cold Crush Brothers.

Before the feature film, enjoy a screening of Graffiti Obsession, Charlie Ahearn’s short documentary offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Martin Wong Collection, featuring rare footage of Wong in his studio.
