Join us for a screening of Soylent Green (Richard Fleischer, 1973, 97 min), the cult classic sci-fi thriller set in a dystopian future where overpopulation and environmental collapse have pushed society to the brink—set against the backdrop of a crumbling New York City in the year 2022. Starring Charlton Heston as a detective investigating a mysterious new food supply from Soylent Corp., the film offers a compelling vision of a world grappling with limited resources.
Stick around after the screening for a brief conversation on the film’s lasting impact and its connections to the present-day. Speakers, TBD.
