Join the Museum of the City of New York to celebrate our 100th birthday with a fun-filled, family-friendly party!

Get into the groove for a day packed with a full range of activities that has something for everyone to enjoy, whether you're 3 or 103.

Drop in anytime! Activities will take place from 10am–3pm on Sunday, October 15.

Free with Museum Admission. Pay-what-you-wish admission is only available at ticket counters.

Visit the Exhibition 10am–5pm
Head up to the third floor and visit This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture, our "epic" centennial exhibition which served as inspiration for the day’s activities! 

See it in the Gallery! Pick up a copy of our brand-new Kids’ Guide to enhance your visit. Recommended for ages 7–12.

Silent Disco Dance Party 10am–3pm

Get your dance moves on! Our kid-friendly dance party is fun for the whole family to enjoy. Brought to us by our partners at Quiet Events.

Double Dutch Performance
12–2pm

See performances by Brooklyn-based Ms. K’s Dance Academy, then jump in and participate! Grab a jump rope and join us on our Fifth Avenue terrace.

Storytime @ MCNY
Hourly, 10am–3pm

Join in for a special edition of our storytime program, and hear NYC stories from the past 100 years. Each hour includes movement-based activities and arts & crafts.

See it in the Gallery!  Visit At Home in New York, an interactive bookshelf that brings stories from across the city to life.

Arts & Crafts
Ongoing, 10am–3pm

Participate in arts and crafts activities inspired by what's on view in the Museum. Create a variety of objects from tote bags, to puppets, party hats, and so much more!
