New York After Dark
The Museum of the City of New York is excited to bring back its annual fall cocktail party, New York After Dark, on Thursday, October 24th, 2019. The party is being reimagined as a fun exploration of what New Yorkers have done “after dark” through the years. Think Speakeasies! Piano bars! Studio 54! Guests are encouraged to dress in theme.
Louis Auchincloss Prize Presentation & Reception
The Museum of the City of New York will present its 2019 Louis Auchincloss Prize to architect, professor, and author, Robert A.M. Stern, on Thursday, November 14, 2019. Past Louis Auchincloss Prize honorees include Jason Robert Brown, Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Steinem, Michiko Kakutani, Tony Kushner, Wynton Marsalis, and Philip Glass.

The Museum of the City of New York’s annual winter event is a celebration of the past year and a welcoming of the new year. This night of dinner and dancing raises funds for the museum's exhibitions, public programs, and education programs that serves over 50,000 students and teachers.
The 2020 Winter Ball will center around the Museum’s upcoming exhibition, City/Game: Basketball in New York and honor New Yorkers who helped make the game what it is today.

Chairman's Leadership Award Dinner
Each spring, the Museum of the City of New York presents the Chairman’s Leadership Award to an outstanding corporate citizen in recognition of their contributions to the life and well-being of New York City. Past recipients of the Chairman’s Leadership Award include James G. Dinan, Tracy V. Maitland, Blair W. Effron, Wesley R. Edens, and Scott L. Bok.

Spring Symposium & Luncheon
At the Spring Symposium & Luncheon, the Museum awards the City of Design Award to recognize those who have made New York the design capital of the world and who inspire future generations of designers to bring their talents to our great city. Past recipients of the City of Design Award include Cynthia Rowley, Elizabeth Graziolo, Peter Marino, Jacques Grange and Ralph Pucci, and Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan.
