SPRING BREAK WEEK! 

The Museum of the City of New York partners with The Giant Room to offer exciting, drop-in STEAM activities Monday, April 10 through Wednesday, April 1211am – 2pm each day. These drop-in family activities are geared toward children ages 5–12. 

Inspired by our hit exhibition Food In New York: Bigger Than the Plate, we invite our younger visitors and their families to think, experiment and design for a more equitable, socially diverse, and delicious future of food in New York City! 

Activity Stations include: 

  • NYC Food Maps: Make your own "Food Map" of the city and share your favorite spots! 
  • Food Trucks & Street Food: Design your own food trucks out of GIANT laser cut models, decide what to serve on their trucks and play! 

  • DIY Urban Gardens: Design your own mini urban gardens out of laser cut wood panels and learn about urban farming! 
     

These drop-in family activities are free with Museum admission and geared toward children ages 5–12.  Pre-registration is recommended:
