Future City Lab: New York's Water II
This is the second in a three-lesson series on water in New York City. The first reviews the process of the water cycle and explains how water gets brought to the city via aqueducts and pipes. This lesson reviews how much water is used, how students can conserve water, and how water-efficient consumer products positively impact the environment. The final lesson demonstrates the natural processes of filtration and absorption and discusses how they can be harnessed in green infrastructure.

In the second lesson, students will think about the accessibility of the New York transit system. In the third lesson, students are able to use basic math to design an accessible ramp. This lesson concludes the series by applying the previous three lessons to an investigation of a local park.
