Record Your Story with StoryCorps
History is happening now. Archive your story at the Library of Congress.
In connection to our exhibition New York Responds, we are teaming up with StoryCorps to collect the stories of how everyday New Yorkers in all five boroughs are experiencing both the COVID-19 pandemic and the uprisings for Black Lives.
Every New Yorker has a story to tell. We’re here to hear it.
Record with us on StoryCorps Connect and add the keywords #COVIDStoriesNYC and/or #ActivistNY. Your conversation will go into the StoryCorps archive at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress – where it becomes part of American history – and become part of the Museum of the City of New York’s growing database of how New Yorkers are responding to the events of 2020.

#MCNYTeachersSpeak
The Museum’s Frederick A.O. Schwarz Education Center invites New York educators to share your stories of teaching and learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the uprisings for racial justice.
As we confront the changing landscape of education in New York City, we want to hear about how you’re responding and adapting, from supporting your students to building community with fellow educators to advocating for change from your virtual classroom.
We’ve created a conversation guide for discussing education in NYC amid the challenges of 2020 that we hope can help your interview flow. Check it out here.
