Be a Champion of the City on #GivingTuesdayNow
Support the Museum Tuesday May 5

"New York has a lot of monikers and nicknames. One is famously ‘The City That Never Sleeps’. Yet right now, people are feeling that the city that never sleeps is at least napping," states Sarah Henry, the Museum's Robert A. and Elizabeth Rohn Jeffe Chief Curator & Deputy Director in the video above, courtesy of Voices of America (VOA).
Tuesday May 5, is #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of giving and unity as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. We are asking you to support the Museum’s enduring role as New York’s Storyteller, and help ensure we are here to share the next chapter of New York’s epic story.
The New York City we are experiencing feels nothing like the city we call home. And yet, despite the eerily silent streets and empty subways, we know that this is a temporary pause and that the city will reemerge, New York strong and thriving. There are over eight million stories in New York—each one a reflection of our citizens, our community, and our great city. Be a champion of the city we call home and keep our collective, New York history alive.
