London Street Photography

With “City Scenes: Highlights of New York Street Photography"

July 27 - December 2, 2012

Back to Past Exhibitions

The streets of London and New York come to life in this exhibition and companion installation.

London Street Photography, organized by the Museum of London, features images by some 70 photographers of fleeting moments of ordinary people in London – at work, in transit, in public spaces, and in neighborhoods. A companion installation by the Museum of the City of New York, City Scenes: Highlights of New York Street Photography, provides a counterpart, focusing on various photographers from the 1890s Progressive Era of Jacob Riis to the contemporary age of Joel Meyerowitz.
