Father’s Day is a time to appreciate fathers and father figures. Explore the digital interactive in Port City, 1609-1898, to learn about New York’s founding father Alexander Hamilton, the Father of New York Finance, and Andrew Haswell Green, the Father of Greater New York. Create a card to express your gratitude and love for all that your father does for you!

Family programs are free with Museum admission and for members, geared to families with children ages 6-12 years old, and include a snack. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.

Family and Community Engagement Programs are made possible in part by the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation; Sy Syms Foundation; Lone Pine Foundation; and Louis Wiley, Jr.

The Frederick A.O. Schwarz Education Center is endowed by grants from The Thompson Family Foundation Fund, the F.A.O. Schwarz Family Foundation, the William Randolph Hearst Endowment, and other generous donors.
