Style My Ride
Saturday, July 26
Did you know that the country’s very first bike lane was built right here in New York City in 1894? Today, more than 300 miles of bike lanes wind throughout the five boroughs. Discover how New Yorkers are speaking up for safer streets for cyclists and pedestrians in the exhibition Activist New York. Then decorate a brand new bike helmet (provided on a first-come, first-served basis) with stylized writing and imagery inspired by the art of City as Canvas: Graffiti Art from the Martin Wong Collection.
City as Canvas Family Programs are made possible by a grant from the Keith Haring Foundation.
