Graffiti (R)evolution: Graphic Design and Fine Art
Wednesday, July 9 at 6:30 pm

Cey Adams, founding creative director of Def Jam Recordings, and Greg Lamarche, an accomplished collage artist, both got their start tagging walls and spray-painting subways in the 1980s. With moderator Dave “Chino” Villorente, they will trace the evolution of graffiti from an illicit underground movement and youth subculture to a leading international force in contemporary arts. They’ll also discuss their own journeys from graffiti writers to graphic designers and fine artists.

Co-sponsored by Mass Appeal magazine and Shake Shack. Presented in conjunction with City as Canvas.

Free for Museum members; $12 students/seniors; $16 general public.
