Join us to celebrate the release of the publication Capital of Capital: Money, Banking, and Power in New York City, 1784-2012 (Columbia University Press, May 2014), the first book to encompass the over 200 years of history surrounding Gotham’s banking sector. Adam Davidson, co-founder and co-host of NPR’s Planet Money, leads Eugene M. McQuade, Vice Chairman of Citi, and financial historians Youssef Cassis (European University Institute, Florence) and Julia Ott (The New School) in a panel discussion about whether New York City remains the foremost capital of global finance.
