Clap your hands, stomp your feet, and join us for a winter treat! Enjoy a live educational music and dance presentation featuring percussionists, performed by Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs. This special program celebrates the life, work, and contributions of American dancer Alvin Ailey, who is featured in our expansive two-gallery exhibition Gay Gotham: Art and Underground Culture in New York. Learn about specific dance styles and music that inspired Ailey’s career as an iconic choreographer. The performance is open to families with children of all ages and begins promptly at 1:00 pm. Arrive early for a great seat and enjoy the exhibition after the performance!
